and lack of any smell, the main use of ToxiSHIELD Denatonium Benzoate
is as a denaturant
for Alcohol. The foulness of its taste and the fact that it is not
toxic or
carcinogenic together make ToxiSHIELD DB an ideal additive to prevent people from ingesting
harmful liquids such as detergents, disinfectants, cleaning fluids, domestic
garden
and horticulture products.
In the USA it was approved in 1960 for use in
perfumes, perfumeries, toiletries,
cosmetics
and other industrial uses.As a denaturant for alcohol ToxiSHIELD DB
is now
universally approved.
It is used in very small quantities, 10-40 ppm
is generally sufficient; therefore
further use of alcohol as raw material for
industrial purpose is not affected at all.
ToxiSHIELD Denatonium Benzoate is also effective in protecting pets. Dogs, and
cats
are especially vulnerable to lapping up leaking radiator fluids, and are often
get poisoned
